THE TYPES OF FINANCIAL PLANNING
The following are the various areas of the big universe of financial planning that Filipinos can apply its various principles and tenets in order to boost and fortify their monetary resources and wealth to meet the requirements of their life stage.  Note that the scope of some of the areas mentioned below sometimes overlap with each other.
  • Personal Finance Planning - the planning of financial resources by individuals and families to ensure that such resources are adequate to meet their day-to-day financial requirements, as well as their respective medium to long term life goals at all stages.

  • Investment Planning - the planning of financial resources (i.e. capital) by individuals, families and groups to ensure that such capital grows at compounded and possibly rapid rates to meet medium-to-long term goals that require big capital outlays.

  • Educational Planning - the planning of financial resources by individuals and families to ensure that such funds are sufficient to match tuition and other miscellaneous fees associated with the educational needs (usually collegiate level) of the younger members of families.

  • Planning for Life Milestones - the planning of financial resources by individuals, families and groups to ensure that such resources are adequate to meet major life events.

  • Health Planning - the planning of financial resources by individuals and families to ensure that such resources are enough to meet bills associated with major and minor health-related events.

  • Retirement Planning - the planning of financial resources by individuals to ensure that such funds are adequate to meet the daily needs, as well as other life pursuits, of retirees at a time when regular income from work has already stopped.

  • Estate Planning - the planning of financial resources by individuals to ensure that such resources can adequately meet the requirements of the process of transferring their assets to the next generation.
