Sun FlexiLink is a peso-denominated Variable Universal Life (VUL) insurance policy from Sun Life Financial that offers coverage and protection for an insured person's family until age 88.  Upon the death of the insured, it pays either (a.) the Face Amount plus the Fund Value; or (b.) 500% of the regular premium plus 125% of any Excess Premium, less 125% of each partial withdrawal, whichever is higher.

• Applications are accepted until age 70.
• It covers you until age 88.
• It allows you to choose which Fund you'd like to place the Investment portion of your premium in.  So you decide the method of how your invested money will grow depending on your risk tolerance.
• It allows our team of top-notch fund managers to handle and manage your investments for you.
• It allows you to voluntarily add cash into your Policy should you have extra money, thereby boosting your Fund Value and your Death Benefit.
• It has a Premium Holiday feature, which simply means that you may opt to cease premium payments for a certain period, with the view of continuing it later on. 
• It allows you to pay in annual, semi-annual, and quarterly modes.  So payment becomes very light for you.
• It allows for premium-payment through auto-debit from your BPI or BDO bank account.  So you don't have to think about manually doing the payments from time-to-time.
• It gives you a 2% loyalty bonus starting at the end of the 10th year and every 5 years thereafter.
• It allows you to withdraw the Fund Value anytime you need the money.

• It allows you to add the following riders to your Policy: Accidental Death Benefit, Total Disability Benefit, Accidental Death, Dismemberment and Disablement, Critical Illness Benefit, Hospital Income Benefit, Waiver of Premium upon Death of Initial Owner, Female Benefit, Female and Maternity Benefit, and Waiver of Premium upon Death or Disability of Initial Owner.  This only means that you and your family are given the opportunity to gain these additional benefits on top of the basic benefits of your Policy.

Upon your demise, your beneficiaries may collect the proceeds of your Sun FlexiLink policy:

• To pay for burial and funeral expenses;
• To pay for estate taxes on the assets you leave behind;
• To pay for legal fees associated with estate tax matters;
• As a cash gift for your loved ones left behind. 

If nothing happens to you, you can withdraw the Fund Value accumulated through the years to fund any of the following:

• Your Retirement Needs at 65 years onward.
• Your Child's College Education Tuition.  You should get one as early as possible.
• An around-the-world family trip in 15 to 20 years.
• A wedding gift for your child in 25 years.
